Housekeeping Tips: How To Make Your Glassware Shiny And Spotless!
Want to make your glassware shiny and spotless? Or you want to remove that cloudy white film that is reducing the beauty of your expensive wineglass? With a little bit of right cleaning technique you can keep your glassware shines like as if you just bought it. Here are some tips on cleaning glassware and maintain its crystal shining for long.
Use hot water and not soap:
It’s better to wash glassware with hot water instead of cold water. Hot water is more effective in removing any remaining spots and greasy residues. If the stain still remains then use few drops of unscented soap and rinse with hot water. Soaps and detergents should be avoided at most because they will likely leave some kind of residues that can affect the flavor of wine.
Natural cleaners like lemon, baking soda and vinegar are very well at cleaning the wineglasses and leave them spotless. Take a clean dish towel with few drops of white vinegar and wipe the glasses with it and let the glass air dry. Vinegar vaporizes easily and leaves your wineglass spotless and shiny.
Lemons can also be used to clean glasses. Just take some lemon slices and scrub glasses with it. Not only it removes the white cloudy layer on the glass, it get rids of the food odors from the glass as well. Oh yes, don’t forget to rinse the glass afterwards, as you don’t would not want lemon pulps with your wine!
It is important to rinse the glasses soon after use as it will prevent the liquids from becoming sticky and leave stains. So even if you are lazy to clean the glasses right away, at least rinse them through hot water to remove the remaining liquid so that it won’t leave any stains.
Use micro fiber or lint-free cloth to dry:
Micro fiber is best at drying glasses leaving it shiny and clear. You can also use lint-free cloth like clean linen for this purpose which does not leave any fiber behind on the glass surface.
And there you have it, your shiny wineglass ready to serve your wine.
