Weekly Round-up

With so much always happening in and around the hotel, it’s hard to keep up with everything. This series will give you a sneak peek into the world of what’s going on at Mercure Sydney.

Before we begin – Just a reminder you can also follow us on Facebook to stay in the loop

So… What’s been going on?

On Tuesday, a very happy and smiley Mona travelled to UTS for her graduation day. Staying the night in the hotel, our team in reservations wanted to help celebrate this special moment with Mona and her family, and what better way to celebrate then with bubbles for the adults and some juice for the kids. The team in reservations have a good habit of always go above and beyond for the guests, this being said, they also had a monstrous Oreo cake waiting for the graduate and her family. Knowing they would be in a massive cake coma, the team gave them the opportunity to sleep-in the next morning, with complimentary late check out till 5pm, to sleep off all the celebrating! Well done Team Res!

Thursday came round quicker than expected and we held a trivia night, right here at Mercure Sydney to raise money for ‘Room for Hope’. Using all the weird, wonderful and utterly useless facts in our arsenals, teams battled it out to seek glory at charity trivia night. Overall, the event was a huge success, 150 people attended and the knowledge of those people helped us raise over $6,500. A great effort from everyone who was involved, the funds raised will go a long way in supporting the charity that supports families, ‘Room for Hope’.
