Boys Weekend in Sydney

So Dan wants to celebrate his birthday in Sydney with the boys. Where do you start? Well, book a flight for starters, or maybe a road trip is more your flow, which ever it is, you’ll need to get here somehow.

Next, accommodation…We can’t go without saying that Mercure Sydney is your best bet, but seriously. With 100+ car spaces for those driving and located right next to Sydney’s Central Station, we are 5 minutes to the CBD, 20 minutes for Sydney Airport and only 10 minutes to Bondi Junction. Not to mention a short walk to the booming Chippendale and Surry Hills areas, where you will find a bunch of cool small bars and restaurants. Chinatown and Darling Harbour are around the corner too.

Now that is sorted, what do you do? Sydney really does have it all for the ultimate trip with the lads. Bondi and Coogee beaches provide a laid back, casual scene to kick back with the boys during the day. Once there head over to Campbell Parade in Bondi and you’ll find a string of pubs, shops and eateries with the beautiful Bondi Beach in the background. If Bondi’s hipster factor is a little too high for your tastes, switch gears and hop over to Surry Hills, with a range of boutique and larger pubs, it  is a great place to kick the night off!Image result for coogee

If club-hopping is more your thing, you’ll find plenty to choose from in the CBD, Kings Cross and Darlinghurst. That’s Friday done, and now you have a small but manageable hangover. Nothing fixes a sore head better than a massive buffet breakfast, included in some packages with your accommodation ;)

Breakfast all done, relive your childhood and head over to PLAYTIME Haymarket for some fun arcade games and win some fake tattoos to plaster all over the birthday boys head when he is sleeping. If shopping is what you are after, Pitt St Mall is huge and with designer and urban brands, you’ll definitely grab something cool. Lunch comes around, and you’re looking for burgers, there are a few options, but we recommend; Bar Luca, Chur Burger, Brooklyn Depot, Burger Project or our very own Eve’s bar, they are all awesome and neither will disappoint!

Night two, the lads are looking sharp. Kick off the night in the newly renovated Eve’s bar, with a few craft beers or cocktails. The tables are calling and you want to play some roulette, The Star Casino is a 10 minute bus trip from the Hotel, with a range of night clubs and bars it’s sure to be a fun night, but be prepared to fork out some cash…Cheap and cheerful more your scene? Newtown has you covered with a variety of choice on Enmore Road or King St.

Wake up to another amazing buffet breakfast, while the concierge team bring your bags down for you. With shuttles to the airport or trains running every 15 minutes from Central, getting back home won’t be too much of a hassle.
